We bought this house in May 2022 and we have been living here together since August 1, 2022. Heleni is an artist, gives Reiki and foot reflexology massage; Peter is the owner of Aan de Tijd publishing company and is an avid gardener.
We are enjoying transforming the garden (which looked like a construction site) into a place where it is pleasant to stay.
All around the house you can always find a spot where you can sit out of the wind and in the sun. You can enjoy the unobstructed view all around.
To make your stay more pleasant, trees, shrubs, plants and flowers have been planted or sown everywhere.
We also manage the pumping station adjacent to the house in consultation with the Hollands Noorderkwartier Water Board (HHNK). This pumping station was dismantled in 2017 (so it is no longer operational), after it replaced the in 1928 burned down mill A. The mill stood on a mound with sand brought from Eenigenburg. The house is therefore also located on the mound of the mill and is visibly higher than the surrounding meadows.
In the pumping station you can find information about the history of the mill and the Zijper polder.
The house is equipped with a heat pump, which provides both hot water and heating. The entire house is equipped with WiFi.
